The Pub:

Following significant investment, the Hoghton Arms will re-open in February 2015 and will operate under our Milestone Rotisserie brand. It will offer an extensive pub restaurant menu with all of the usual favourites, alongside a fresh chicken rotisserie offering mouth-watering, spit roasted chicken throughout the day. It will be a high volume, food-led outlet with a focus on family friendly values. The Ideal Candidate:

As a skilful and talented chef, with an eye for presentation and a perfectionist for class you’ll know all there is to know about food preparation and portion control. Working within a busy kitchen supporting the Head Chef you must ensure that all equipment is maintained, cleaned and working correctly at all times. You’ll be responsible for reporting on any malfunctions or hazards and complete Risk Assessment as instructed by the Management team. To have a sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene is also crucial to be successful in this role.

Job Summary

Produce all items of a culinary nature to the standard required, as laid down by the Head Chef.

To work in a supportive manner to the person responsible for a relevant section.

Experience:

· 4 yrs Previous experience in a similar operation (preferred)

· Ability to work in a pressurized environment

Skills and Knowledge

· High Standard of personal hygiene and appearance

Education or Certification

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Effectively manage the relevant section and ensure it operates in the best productive manner

Ensure that all food is serviced in a consistent manner following the guidelines and recipes laid down

Ensure that there is a good communication process with Commis chefs and that they have a high level of understanding

Ensure that all foods handled within the section are handled in a hygienic manner

To ensure that they comply with all current Health, Safety and Hygiene legislation

8. Run hot plate in absence of Head Chef.
