Head Chef Opportunity EXCITING NEW OPENING Castle, Wakefield We are due to take over the Castle based in Wakefield, giving it a huge face lift by changing its current concept and converting it into a gastro style contemporary village pub. Located close to Durkar, Walton and Crigglestone, we are investing a large amount of capital into this site with the aim of making its mark within the local area as a popular country village pub, which provides locals and guests from the surrounding areas with wholehearted quality hospitality. The successful applicants will be experienced Head Chefs that have great leadership skills, who display entrepreneurial flair and seek the opportunity to make their mark within the industry. We are looking for Head Chefs with a strong fresh food background to become part of this exciting new venture. Being part of a new opening as a Head Chef is a hugely rewarding experience and creates a great foundation for future development opportunities. Who are we looking for? Our Head Chefs are passionate about the industry and keen to progress and develop within the company. We're looking for a Head Chef who can demonstrate they have exceptional experience running a high volume kitchen and have excellent communication and leadership abilities, in order to develop the team and to set a bench mark for others to follow. In order to fulfill this role you will have the following: * ¨ Have at least 1 year's experience of successfully managing a £10k minimum per week, high volume fresh food led kitchen, while consistently delivering the menu to a high standard * ¨ Has inspired and developed a team of 5+ people * ¨ Is able to produce daily specials that reflect seasonal changes and guests tastes * ¨ Able to enthuse the team about dishes and their provenance * ¨ Keeps up to date with dish and menu development within the fresh food market What's on offer?
