Job Description This position is 40 hours per week. Salary: £5.60 - £5.81 per hour OVERALL JOB PURPOSE To be trained by a mentor to be able to carry out work for the smooth and efficient running of relevant corner/selection of the kitchen. To adhere to all quality control, stock control and portion controls as directed by Head Chef To ensure adequate stocks and stores are available To meet the daily requirements and are stored correctly Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a 3* hotel or restaurant NVQ Level 2 / 3 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate - Desirable BACKGROUND SKETCH Smart Appearance Good communication skills Good Time keeping Well groomed Responsibilities 1. To ensure correct preparation of mis-en-place according to daily requirements 2. To ensure all food items are prepared for service at the correct times and for each department. 3. Must adhere to food regulations at all times, making sure that the premises are clean and in good condition and that nothing about their situation and construction may lead to contamination of food. 4. Adheres to hotel rules, COSHH and health and safety regulations at all times and being aware of accident reporting procedures, maintenance fault reporting and fire policy for your department 5.
